Prior to ABC, Barbara Lieberman was Senior Vice President of Production and Development at Edgar Scherick Productions from 1989-1992 where she Executive Produced such television movies as FEVER starring Sam Neill, Armand Assante and Marcia Gay Harden for HBO; TIL DEATH US DO PART based on the book by Vincent Bugliosi starring Treat Williams, Ashley Judd, Richard Schiff, Arliss Howard and Embeth Davidtz for NBC; FOUR EYES AND SIX GUNS starring Judge Reinhold, Dan Hedaya and Fred Ward for TNT; ANYTHING TO SURVIVE starring Matt LeBlanc for ABC, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA starring Burt Lancaster and Charles Dance, based on the Arthur Kopit play, and A QUIET KILLER for CBS.

In 1988 she produced the groundbreaking and award winning comedy special WHAT’S ALAN WATCHING? directed by Tommy Schlamme and starring Eddie Murphy, Fran Drescher, and Brent Spiner for CBS and Eddie Murphy Productions.

Before moving to Los Angeles, Barbara Lieberman served as Film Producer for four seasons at SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE. During her tenure there she produced over 100 comedy shorts, working with such comedians and actors as Eddie Murphy, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Martin Short, Billy Crystal, Robin Williams, Lily Tomlin, Sela Ward, Christopher Guest, Jim Belushi, and Harry Shearer. She won two Emmy Awards and a Golden Eagle at the Cannes Film Festival for her work.

Barbara began her career in New York as a producer of independent features, documentary films, specials, and commercials working with Oscar-winning director Chuck Workman.
